Family-owned and -operated, Staples Street Meat marketplace celebrates its tenth anniversary as a Corpus Christi culinary establishment this season. And what better way to commemorate this milestone than to open an additional location?
Staples Street Meat marketplace at 7626 S. Staples in the Kings Court shopping mall will be joined by a sis store in Meadowbrook Plaza. Co-owners Angel Bustos Jr. and Mike Meehan recently inked the offer for his or her new digs at 4703 S. Alameda St..
“We being thinking about starting a second area for some time, ” Meehan told Corpus Christi Business News. “The Alameda location is perfect to offer individuals on the other hand for the freeway. Whilst The development of the city is from the south side, we all know people into the inner the main city however must be served.”
The new Alameda location is planned to start this summer after a whole renovation for the interior. As a full-service supermarket, it is comparable size once the original Staples Street location. Given that the next Staples Street Meat Market will likely to be situated on South Alameda Street, Meehan stated this area would be named Alameda Meats, Staples Street No. 2.
The proprietors recently extended their grocery choice at original location, which also are proceeded during the Alameda shop.

Meehan has been around the grocery business since 1982. He assisted open the H-E-B on Southern Alameda Street and Robert drive-in 1984, so he could be knowledgeable about the residents and customer base thereon side of city, he said.
Bustos features 25 many years of restaurant knowledge and handles catering services at the shop. He also assists customers with guidance and suggestions for how-to prepare their cuts of animal meat or fish.
“Our 2nd area will offer you similar wide selection of top-quality items we have (during the Staples Street area) in a friendly community environment, ” Meehan included.
Staples Street Meat marketplace is open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Sunday hours are 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. The new shop has similar hours plus the exact same top-notch products or services, assures both owners.
